Arab riots

During the 3rd and 4th aliyot over 100k jews immigrated to palestine. The arab population living in the british mandate of palestine viewed the increasing jewish population as foreigners coming to steal their land. Religious leader of jerusalem muslims, haj amin al-husseini(the mufti) instigated ritos against the jews.

Major riot in 1929 led to a massacre of jews in hebron Those jews that survived left the city and did not return for four decades. 1936 the arabs launched a big revolt.
