- Closing state-run businesses on Shabbat
- Marriage and divorce to the religious courts(Beit Din)
- Provisional government that formed in 1948 included representatives from all the various segments of the zionism movement
- Christians, Muslims, and Jews would have their own religious authorities
- Due to all these challenges and varying opinions, israel has no written constitution
