not even ootb I just dont like the idea of no partial upgrades, rolling release without pinned versions like nix or specific good states, and the whole idea of the AUR is kinda sketchy
arch is the opposite of "no forced packages"
unlike debian which has their really annoying package splitting, arch assumes: one python version/llvm/systemd setup, and only one right way packages get fixed together right. There is one build per package. You cannot toggle features like gentoo. You cannot build against an older library. You cannot upgrade one package and keep everything else . it really isnt flexible or granulally? controlled, its simple but definitely not flexible
if python312 is an AUR package. Its not supported officially by arch, it might break packages that need python312 and assume /usr/bin/python. Its really sketchy to put python there. You are basically saying "we dont support that anymore, and dont be pissed at us if your packages dont work" its a core system component that really shouldnt be there
