- He became king of macedonia and his father's greeek city states
- Greek conquest introduced new ideas to the 'barabians of the east/
- After alexander died in 323 BC the greeks split into two parts and Hellenism spread:
- Seulecid: Syria
- Ptolemiac: Egypt The ptolemac kingdom inaugurated alexandria.
