  • Using soft clay tablets, they inscribed marks into them and dried them in the sun.
  • Various types of cuneiform scripts were chiseled onto stone surfaces

  • Cuneiform was adopted by the babylonians to create akkadian
  • Cuneiform signs were used for hundreds of years before they were replaced by other languages like aramiac and Greek
  • This was a form of hieroglyphs

3. Proto-Cuneiform

  • Proto-cuneiform was a form of cuneiform that was easier to write–Similar to how the chinese simplified their hieraglyphs
