- He was a Cohen and the son of buzi
- He was also a member of the zadok family
- He was exiled when king nebuchadnezzar captured jerusalem in 597 BCE
- His most well known prophecy is the vision of dry bones
- Ezekiel's task was to keep the jews faithful and convince them that the exile was temporary When you only focus on survival, you may lose your faith. Ezekiel's job was to prevent this
- The prophecy of dry bones predicted the ressurection of some people. He also predicted that the jewish nation would be revived to its glory
2. He is called the prophet of exile
- This is because he was the first to receive prophecy out of Israel
