* school french1. After the english fought the french they settled in quebec and Acadie.
The British forced the francophones eastwards and they settled in st. johns, nova Scotia and PEI. They still spoke french
- The acadians were banished from Ontario in the 1700s
- Some of them were sent to king Louis in Louisiana and became "Cajuns"

- Manitoba languages language is french because of the metis
- Ontario has the 2nd highest french-speaking population This is because in quebec women were mandated to have children each year and develop the land, so after a while they could divide the land anymore s they took up skilled trades in Ontario
- Learning french can help for pathways in government employment
