Sakshi(Witness)
* philosophy1. Sakshi is the pure unchanging awareness that witnesses all things and events wihtout being affected by them.
It is the aspect of conscioussness that observes everything without judgement.
1.1. Sakshi Is Pure Awareness
Sakshi is not a person or individual self, it is the knowing that is present in all experiences, but is not any of them
1.2. The unchanging observer
While all phenomena are subject to Anicca(Impermanence) and Dukkha ( Suffering) The sakshi remains constant. Your thoughts may change from happy to sad, but the awareness that witnesses them does not change them.
1.3. Beyond the triad
The conventional view of experience involves a subject (the knower), an object (the known), and the act of perception (the knowing). The Sakshi is said to be the reality in which this duality of subject-object disappears. It is the ultimate ground of all experience.
