In 1978 after palestinian terrorists attacked israel again, israeli forces entereed the souther part of lebanon to destroy PLO bases and push the terrorists from the border Two months later, israel withdrwe and allowed UN forces to enter the region.
- They were unable to stop these terrorist forces from growing stronger and continuing to attack Israel
