Shemot 2:2
* tanakhוַתַּ֥הַר הָאִשָּׁ֖ה וַתֵּ֣לֶד בֵּ֑ן וַתֵּ֤רֶא אֹתוֹ֙ כִּי־ט֣וֹב ה֔וּא וַֽתִּצְפְּנֵ֖הוּ שְׁלֹשָׁ֥ה יְרָחִֽים׃ The woman conceived and bore a son; and when she saw how beautiful he was, she hid him for three months.
- The woman gave birth to moses
- He has to die since pharoah ordered the boys to be thrown in the river
- Why did she " וַתֵּ֤רֶא אֹתוֹ֙ כִּי־ט֣וֹב"? (See how good he was)? Why is this mentioned?
- This was mentioned because moses was born at 6 months(3 months premature), thats why she was relived when the baby was OK.
- The babys premature birth helped them hide it. She was able to hide him for 3 months until the egyptians would come to check. Yocheveb told the egyptians she had a miscarriage.
- He was a unique child–He was very handsome and born without foreskin
