- God responded to this by creating ten plagues and driving the jews into גָּלוּת(diaspora)

- גָּלוּת is a server punishment on a grave sin
- The jews recieved this punishment for assimilating into egyptian culture
- It means experiencing a multiple of disasters over a long time while outside of your country(diaspora). God gave this them to better them as a people(debatable)
- The exodus was an example of this. The jews left egypt and wandered for 30 years
